Ashley Bell By Dean Koontz {Spoiler Free}

Rate: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Synopsis: Bibi Bell has been given a death sentence.  One that she refuses to accept. In order to be able to overcome her fate she has to save a girl named Ashley Bell. This leads Bibi on a roller coaster ride that’s both mysterious and frightening with an ending that no one will see coming!

I read this book in a week. I hated when I had to put it down. It truly had me spellbound. I don’t think I’ve ever been able to say that about a book. But from start to finish Dean Koontz had me on the edge of my seat. I was dreading and excited what I would see once I turned the page.

Now I know you’re going to read what I wrote above and think wow she really loved this book and I did.  It also, excuse the language pissed me off as well. I know that sounds crazy but because the book was so insane from each chapter to the next I’m still not really sure what was going on.

This was my first novel by this author so I’m not sure if all his books are like this. It’s been 24 hours since I finished this book and I’m still trying to figure out what happened. How crazy is that?!

I give this book 5 stars out of 5.  The characters, the plot was great. It was pretty long but it was never dull. I recommend reading this if you have the time to just sit and read because I genuinely don’t think you will be able to out it down.

How to Hang A Witch By Adriana Mather {Spoiler Free}

Rate: ⭐⭐⭐

Samantha Mather is a 15 year old girl from New York City that is being forced to move to Salem Massachusetts.  The same Salem where the witch trials took place and yes she is the same Mather as Cotton Mather….well atleast a distant relative of his.  Needless to say she is not met with hugs of welcome from those that live in the town.  The Descendants who are you guessed it descendants of the witches that were hung have a open hatred for Sam.

Sam is just trying to make it day  to day until her father who has fallen into a mysterious coma can wake up and they can get back to their lives.  Her step mother Vivian isn’t much help either but they are both trying to make the best of this situation.  Jaxon her neighbor is the son of her father’s childhood best friend.  Sam hasn’t been in town 5 minutes when mysterious deaths and accidents all over town start happening.

This doesn’t help Sam in fitting in at all.  And of course she is being blamed by everyone from school to the town.  Its up to Sam, Elijah a ghost who happens to have lived in her house over 300 years ago and the Descendants to figure out if there is a curse and if there is what can they do about it.

I’m a huge fan of the Salem Witch Trials.  Well fan is probably not the best word to use. But its something that has always interested me.  Because there are so many different aspects and possible reasons as to why it happened in the first place.  I honestly didn’t know what to expect with this book.  Especially with the author being an actual ancestor of Cotton Mather.  The book was pretty predictable I think I figured out within a few chapters just who the big bad was.  But I still enjoyed it despite that.

I think this was a pretty good book for it to have been the author’s first.  I’m not sure if this book is going to be a series or not but I would hope so considering the way it ended.  It was really open ended.  I give the book 3 stars out of 5.  I would still recommend that you guys check it out.  Hope you guys enjoyed my review.
